CLAAS hold a press conference on March 29th, 2019 at Lahore Press Club to expressed deep sorrow on the alarming situation of forced conversion & forced marriages of the minorities’ girls in Pakistan. In press conference Mr. Joseph Francis (MBE) National Director of Centre for Legal Aid Assistance and Settlement (CLAAS) being the member of Christian community and members of Human Rights Commission of Pakistan, Mr. Hussain Naqi, Ms. Tahira Habib, Mr. Irfan Mufti and Ms. Bushra Khaliq condemned forced religious conversions as this awful reality is not realize as a crime. Mr. Joseph Francis highlighted the recent case of two real sisters from Hindu community Reena and Rveen and similarly another case has been reported in District Faisalabad and Bahawalpur of Christian girl’s conversion. All members demanded that federal government of Pakistan make law for stop force conversion for underage minorities’ girls.
