On Sunday March 19th 2017 an awareness seminar on Census was organized by Legal Advisor CLAAS Mr. Akhtar Masih Sandhu Advocate, Mr. Sadiq Gill, President and Mrs. Zarian Akhtar General Secretary of Bricks Kiln Workers Federation Kasur at National Bricks Company Qadi wind Road Kasur and Kasur Bricks. The seminar was addressed by Mr. Joseph Francis National Director Centre for Legal Aid Assistance and Settlement (CLAAS). He talked about the importance of census and how the outcome of this census will impact on our social and political status as a minority. He encouraged the attendees to actively participate in the upcoming Census and insisted them to take a leading role in all this process. Ms. Rubina Ghazal and Ms. Shagufta from CLAAS staff, Mr. Akhtar Masih, Mr. Sadiq Gill, Mrs. Zarina Akhtar also talked to the participants in this seminar. The seminar was attended by more than hundred people from both bricks kilns.

The CLAAS team also visited New Apostolic Sunday School at Kasur and met with the 27 Children. The Sunday school teacher Ms. Katherine Akhtar shared about the activities of the children. Mr. Junaid Saleem Masih also runs Sunday school at National Bricks Company Qadi wind Road Kasur Bricks and has 33 students. CLAAS National Director Mr. Joseph Francis appreciated both teachers and encouraged them for their hard work. The both teacher were appointed by CLAAS in January 2017.
