Awareness session for the community on Child Abuse and Child Protection

Today CLAAS held its first awareness session for the community on Child Abuse and Child Protection. The purpose of this session was to give awareness to parents and elders of the families to prevent children from sexual abuse. The session was led by Mr. Tahir Bashir Advocate and Rubina Ghazal In-charge Legal Department. Parents do not pay much attention to children and ignored them due to various domestic issues. Further parents send them easily with strangers, relatives, and neighbors. Through this session, parents learned that they should enhance their parenting skills to promote a healthy family atmosphere, good social values, morality, and healthy discussion for children’s development. Usually, parents do not consider the quality of care and education for their children’s safety due to a lack of awareness. Child abuse is a serious problem that has lasting harmful effects on its victims. Parents can play a major role to prevent children from sexual abuse. The laws for child protection were also shared with the participants. More than 20 participants join this session and give positive feedback.
